Offshore Resilience was founded by Carolyn Taylor who is an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural and EMDR Psychotherapist, Stress Management Trainer, and Psychological, Performance and Lifestyle Coach. Carolyn is a past director of ISMAuk (International Stress Management Association) and a founding member of the Association for Coaching. Having originally trained as a nurse, Carolyn rose to be a Nurse Manager in Intensive Care and has maintained her registration as a Registered General Nurse. In 1994, she first qualified as a Counsellor and, following further training, specialised in Stress Management, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, EMDR and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching. In 2001, Carolyn formed her own company, specialising in Psychotherapy, Stress Management/Mental Health Training, as well as Post Trauma Support and Training. Carolyn is diversely involved not only with the oil industry, with which she regularly travels to offshore installations, but also onshore where she also works closely with occupational health and employee assistance providers. Carolyn has appeared on radio and television to discuss stress in the workplace, as well as being invited to speak at conferences. She has also written several articles on stress-related issues published in both the local press and associated local and national journals.
